MediSamajh — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MediSamajh mobile app, developed by Charan Studios ("we", "our", "us"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What MediSamajh does

MediSamajh lets you scan medicines, prescriptions and medical reports to get simple, AI-generated explanations in 10 Indian languages. You can save your scans in Reports, learn about parts of the body with Body Map, keep basic profile and family details, and share an explanation with people you choose — all for your own reference.

3. Who can use MediSamajh

MediSamajh is meant for adults aged 18 and above. Anyone under 18 should use it only with a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf.

4. Your account

Signing in with Google is optional. If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for the information you add. You can sign out at any time, and you can permanently delete your account from inside the app (Profile → Delete my account) or as described on our Delete account page.

5. Free use and fair-use limits

MediSamajh is currently free. To keep it free and available for everyone, each phone can make a limited number of scans per day (currently 10). We may change these limits, or introduce paid plans in future. If we do, any paid plan will come with its own clear terms for billing, cancellation and refunds, shown to you before you pay.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• try to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the app's code, keys or credentials;
• use scripts, bots or other automated means to send requests, or try to get around the scan limits;
• scan or share content that isn't yours to share, or that violates someone else's rights or privacy;
• use the app to harass, harm or impersonate others;
• interfere with the app's servers, security or normal operation.

7. Sharing

When you use "Share on WhatsApp" or another sharing option, you choose who receives the explanation. Shared content then leaves MediSamajh and is handled under the terms of the app you share it with. Please share health information only with people you trust.

8. Third-party services

MediSamajh uses Anthropic's Claude AI to create explanations, Cloudflare to run our secure server, and Google Firebase and Google Sign-In for optional sign-in and backup. Your use of the app is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers. See our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.

9. Intellectual property

The MediSamajh app, its design, name and branding are owned by Charan Studios. Your photos and reports remain yours. Explanations created for you are for your personal use and reference.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

MediSamajh is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app, or any AI-generated explanation in it, will be accurate, complete, available at all times or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Charan Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made or action taken based on information shown in the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms or misuses the service. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for important changes we may ask you to accept the Terms again inside the app.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
